Background

I am a computer-science engineer. After I got my degree in electronic, I studied four years at the School of Applied Science in Bienne (Switzerland). I got my diploma in Software Engineering in 2004. I worked at Swisscom Innovation several years and build my knowledge in AI and AL. Then I worked one year at Uptime AG (Zürich) but leave to join more challenging duty at Wistar AG in Bern.
By Wistar I get the chance to work on many projects by EJPD, EDA and armasuisse as developer, lead developer and then technology consultant.
My primary knowledge is Java and large JEE application development. I also worked on embedded device prototyping (military), Eclipse RCP application development, P2P, Media Streaming (video+metadata), etc. And since 2008 I concentrate my efforts in digital security. I help in the weasel project (Snort plugin, Intrusion detection System) and work actively in malware prevention systems, security audit and code audit.

Personal

Aside AI/AL and java. I spend time playing with flash (older personal homepage here and here). I also like to carve stones, draw and read. I like reading novels, philosophy book and comix.

Project NESD-Imaging take place in a larger project called NESD which is powered by armasuisse. NESD-Imaging is a module developed to display large amount of image data (e.g. ortho-photos, maps, ...).

Weasel is an analysis console and log system for the snort (tm) open-source intrusion detection system. It allows you to see and analyze your snort alerts in your browser.
